I married Steve Johnson , remodeling contractor, in 2000. We live in Redwood City, California about 40 minutes south of San Francisco.
We're both avid hikers. In 2006 he hiked the 220 mile John Muir Trail and I waddled after him for 35 miles. We belong to the Insight Meditation Center and have a regular meditation practice. I still dance and have just begun tap lessons. We travel a lot; I've visited all continents except Australia and Antarctica.
I'm still working, mostly consultation and training, as well as writing. No plans to quit anytime soon, seems like I'm just getting good at it. In the last few years I've given workshops in Singapore, Hong Kong and all over the US.
My brother, Richard Kirschman, GNHS class of 1950, and his wife, Doris Ober (also from Great Neck) live nearby, as do my cousins Jim Blume, GNHS 59 and Fred aka Fritz, GNHS class of '64. Sofi Kurtz Milani and Pat Slocum Lewine and I have annual pajama parties and I stay in touch with Connie Coogan Crosby.
Life is good. My primary feeling is one of gratitude. Ellen.
