Where Am I?
In Santa Fe, New Mexico!! After 30 years in Boston’s Back Bay we moved to Santa Fe in 2006. I’m still trying to get used to the car culture and not being able to walk everywhere. We sold our Cape Cod house but kept the Boston apartment which is currently rented. Santa Fe is beautiful and deserves its nickname of the city different.
What Am I Doing?
I eagerly retired from the stressful management of a high tech company to what I thought would be rest and relaxation. I should have known better! I somehow got roped into teaching computer programming for engineers at Santa Fe Community College. In spite of the amount of work involved, it is fun and I feel like I’m giving something to the community.
What About My Family?
David (Great Neck '55) and I will be married 50 years next year. He is doing some consulting and working on projects that he never had time to pursue. Daughter Victoria lives in Virginia with her husband and 8 year old daughter. Her son is starting his freshman year at college. Daughter Valerie and her husband live just outside Boston where they are renovating an 1880 Victorian house. They are both engineers with Parker. My Mom died in April – the last link to Great Neck.
What Else Keeps Me Occupied?
In my retirement, I took up quilting which I am finding quite creative and fun. I am enjoying the local culture – the Santa Fe Opera, Symphony, and the Aspen Santa Fe Ballet. Of course, I am in a book group. And, surprise, surprise, the gym. I think I’m busier now than ever.
