My wife (Sue), Golden Retriever (Sailor) and I live in Highland Park Illinois (think Great Neck, Chicago style). But, we are currently designing and building a home in the hills 10 miles east of Monterey Bay California. Our son lives in England and our daughter plus two grandchildren live in Northern California.

Sue, Sailor and I spend as much time as possible photographing North America using our RV as home base. In addition, Sue and I travel extensively abroad almost always with photographic intent.

Until this year, I have been an avid lake Michigan sailboat racer but have given this up for the full time commitment (probably of 20 years or so duration) to build a bird sanctuary and home in central California. This last activity is designed to prevent us from ever being bored. Boredom is the real enemy!
