Where am I?
Not a lot has changed in my life since our 40th. I still reside in the same house in Setauket. I've lived here for 45 years now. Setauket is a lovely community and I'm very happy here.
What am i doing?
Believe it or not I'm still working for the Town of Brookhaven as I have been for the last 29 years. I have a great job and great people to work with. I am however entertaining the idea of retirement. I get so much time off that I can almost say I'm semi-retired now.
What about my family?
I have three dogs living with m2. Two poodles and a cock-a-poo. They keep me busy and provide company for me. Um still single and loving it.
My children are married and living on Long Island. Kord lives in Ridge with his wife and three children. His oldest Brittney just turned 18 and will be going to Alfred in August. Kris is 14 and loves sports and little Jessie just turned 7. Simone's oldest Tryna is in her third year of college, she wants to be a vet someday. Simone and her husband live in Ronkonkoma. They also have a 9 year old son who enjoys golf.
With my kids and my five grandkids on LI, I have no intention of retiring to Florida or any other state.
What keeps me occupied?
I have a good life and am a happy person. I travel as much as I can. Enjoy new places and new experiences, I have lots of friends and do all kinds of fun things. I'm very rarely home. I also do quite a lot of volunteering. I work at the Staller Center for the Performing Arts. 1 also volunteer at a children's home in Riverhead, work a soup kitchen every Tuesday evening, do golf outings for organizations like the Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind, Timothy Hill Children's' Ranch, the Smithtown Chamber of Commerce etc, etc.
My message to the Class of '57:
Enjoy life, live each day for today yesterday is gone and forgotten and tomorrow is uncertain.
I'd love to hear from all of you.
See you in October at our 50th.
