Incorporated — Company Background
DOHNSCO Consultants was formed by Dohn Samuel Schildkraut in the early 1980s to design and market packaged software. However, early efforts indicated a greater need for consulting services — such as custom business application design, documentation and support — rather than for packaged systems. Therefore, efforts have been aimed in that direction since the company incorporated in 1983.
DOHNSCO, Incorporated was introduced to the securities markets by FD Consulting, Inc. to whom DOHNSCO provided services for over ten years. Our efforts include requirements analysis, RFPs, proposals, specifications, systems documentation, user manuals, product briefs and marketing materials. Since the demise of FD Consulting, DOHNSCO has continued to concentrate on projects in this industry.
By choice, DOHNSCO, Incorporated has remained small. Management prefers to take a "hands on" approach and accept only a limited number of interesting assignments: while Dohn Schildkraut is currently the sole professional, we have employed as many as six consultants when the project warranted it. Our facilities are located in Great Neck, Long Island.
Despite our size, clients we have served include Dow Jones Markets (Telerate), Telesphere (Telekurs), SIAC, PHLX, Quotron, Reuters/Rich, QUICK America, McGraw Hill/S&P Trading Systems, PaineWebber, DWR, Madoff, IBM, Stratus and Sun, as well as a number of independent software developers.
